What is a Professional Engologists ?

A Professional Engologist is someone who, through academic training and experience in the application of mathematics and scientific principles, is capable of accepting responsibility and of exercising judgment in the specialized portion of the field of applied science in which training has been achieved. By virtue of this training and experience, an Engologist is often delegated responsibility for aspects of work within this specialized portion of the field of training.

Fields of work in which Engologists are employed are mainly in , engineering (including civil, chemical, metallurgical, electrical and electronic). Engologists are also found in building, draughting, surveying, town planning.

Engology emphasizes the application of existing scientific and engineering techniques to a variety of real-world problems. “Application” is the key word in this definition, in that Engology differs from engineering in its emphasis on practical applications rather than on theory and design. Engologists work in the job spectrum between the Engineer and the Etechnician, with responsibilities closest to those of the Engineer.
